About the series
A short-lived French gag strip from Delcourt, Les Blagues du Bled (2008–present) collects single-panel jokes set in a rural Algerian backdrop. Created by the cartoonist known as Gyps, the series offers a lighthearted, slice-of-life look at village characters and their daily mishaps. Though only one issue was published, it stands as a modest, culturally specific humor comic within the Franco-Belgian bande dessinée tradition.
