Guerre et paix

A sweeping, single-issue graphic novel adaptation of Tolstoy's epic, Guerre et paix was published by Soleil in 2011. Though it distills the vast novel into a single comic, it aims to capture the grand scope of the Napoleonic Wars and the intimate dramas of its Russian aristocratic characters. The series is notable for its ambitious attempt to translate a literary classic into the visual language of European bande dessinée.
