About the series
In 2003, DC reunited the classic creative team of J. M. DeMatteis, Keith Giffen, and Kevin Maguire for a six-issue miniseries that revisits the beloved, character-driven humor of their Justice League International era. The story follows the former league members as they launch a new, low-rent superhero team called the "Super Buddies," offering a self-aware, comedic take on corporate sponsorship and superheroics.
