Batman: A Espada de Azrael ran for just two issues in 1993, published by Editora Abril as a Brazilian edition of the American miniseries. The story, written by Dennis O'Neil with art by Joe Quesada, introduced a new, armored vigilante into Batman's world while exploring themes of legacy and redemption. Though brief, this series marked a key early collaboration between O'Neil and Quesada, and it laid groundwork for the character of Azrael that would resonate in later Batman lore.
