Benedetto Resio’s Aquila Rossa (1950–1951) was a 51-issue adventure series from the Italian publisher Tomasina, with Resio handling both writing and art. The series followed the exploits of its titular hero, a masked vigilante whose name translates to “Red Eagle,” through postwar Italian comic pages. Though short-lived, it represents a notable example of the early 1950s Italian adventure comics boom, showcasing Resio’s singular vision as a complete creator.
