Agaguk

Agaguk, launched in 2008 by Glénat, is a single-issue comic that adapts Yves Thériault’s classic novel of the same name, set in the harsh Arctic wilderness. The story follows the titular Inuk hunter as he navigates a brutal conflict between tradition and encroaching modernity, driven by survival and a fierce sense of independence. While the series has only one volume, it is notable for bringing a landmark of French-Canadian literature to the graphic novel medium, with its stark, evocative art capturing the unforgiving northern landscape.
