A couple discovers a 3,000-year-old mummy in an Egyptian tomb and schemes to steal it for profit and fame. Jim Torrence and his wife Mary plan to smuggle the mummy out of the museum, but when they open the sarcophagus, the mummy comes to life as an angry, cursed creature. The mummy pursues them through the night, and though they initially escape into a cave, they discover the creature possesses eternal life and cannot be killed, leaving them trapped with their ancient curse.
