As trick-or-treaters keep mistaking the dog for the man himself, the pair end up missing the best of the night, leaving them scrambling to catch up after the candy runs out.

A man repeatedly shows up at Dagwood’s door, baffled by the directions to Duncan MacGregor’s house—until Dagwood finally escorts him there. On his final visit, the man returns to say MacGregor wasn’t home after all, leaving Dagwood with a quiet, bewildered chuckle.
