This issue contains two stories. "The Big Hunt" features Swift Arrow caught in a stampede of wild horses being driven by an enemy tribe, forcing him to rescue a small child from danger. "Trial by Conscience" by Gene Relly follows prospector Jack Bolton, who encounters a young drifter seeking shelter; when a posse arrives pursuing the stranger for a bank robbery he claims he didn't commit, Jack must decide whether to turn him in or help him escape. A third story depicts a hermit finding gold and attempting to establish a bank account with his discovery, only to have a traveling companion spread rumors and attempt to steal the claim. The issue concludes with Swift Arrow negotiating with an Indian chief over a territorial conflict between tribes, grappling with the moral weight of potential bloodshed.
