This anthology issue features multiple adventure stories. In one story, a jockey prepares for a race at Welmont Park but experiences nervousness and mysterious mishaps, including his feet catching fire, before disappearing under unexplained circumstances. Another story follows Dr. Nemesis as he interrogates Nurse Strong about Mary Strong's whereabouts, discovering that she lives at 622 East 48th Street, leading him to pursue her before she can escape on an airplane. A third story depicts a submarine opening fire on Morgana's boat, resulting in combat with spies aboard; Lance and Morgana are reported missing and presumed killed, though the story continues with references to "The Sword" and the need for their sacrifice to be remembered by the nation.
