Startling Comics #50

This anthology issue features Lance Lewis, Space Detective investigating a pirate ship spotted off the coast, where a murderous pirate horde attacks a merchant vessel in a swashbuckling naval battle. The story then shifts to a government spaceport where Lance and his companion Marna monitor an approaching invasion of thousands of ships from Mars and Saturn, leading to an aerial battle as the Space Patrol engages the alien armada. The issue also includes a Jefferson Jones story in which the teenage terror and his pals Socrates and Stonewall encounter Nancy and her inheritance, resulting in a comedic sequence involving falling money.
