From Les Humanoïdes Associés comes the second volume of Olivier Hug and Denis Medri's Sans Dieu, subtitled "L'Arbre de la connaissance." The cover plunges us into a tense underground scene, where a group of three wary human adventurers — two men and a woman — press forward beneath the looming shadow of an enormous stone-like creature holding a torch, flanked by smaller armored figures lurking in the gloom. Rendered in rich amber and green tones, this 2006 album promises a world where humanity navigates something far older and more powerful than itself.
