My Hero Academia - Team-Up Mission #5

The fifth volume of My Hero Academia: Team-Up Mission arrives from Ki-oon Shonen with a cover that immediately draws you in — Midoriya and Bakugo stand on either side of the frame, both in their U.A. uniforms, their expressions tense and uneasy as they face a mysterious, sunglasses-wearing figure standing at the water's edge, back turned to them with an air of quiet menace. Yoko Akiyama's artwork makes excellent use of the open beach setting, the bright sea and cloudy sky contrasting with the charged mood between the three characters. Based on Kohei Horikoshi's original concept, this 2024 release promises the kind of unpredictable, cross-character dynamics that make this spin-off such an enjoyable companion to the main series.
