Les Contes du 7ème souffle #1
"Aohige" from *Les Contes du 7ème souffle #1* (2002) introduces Toho Daisuke, a warrior who, after fifteen years of martial arts training, pledges himself to Aohige, a wealthy widower recently married to Daisuke’s sister. Drawn together by honor and respect, Aohige offers Daisuke a place as his adopted son—yet this bond soon tests the limits of loyalty and family. Written by Éric Adam and illustrated with striking precision by Hugues Micol, with colors by Véronique Dorey and letters by David Schmit, the cover by Hugues Micol sets a haunting tone for a story where duty and emotion collide.
