The sixth volume of David Ratte's Le Voyage des Pères brings us "Salomé, Amos et les Autres…," and the cover says it all — a young red-haired woman named Salomé stands at the center of a crowd of bearded, wide-eyed men of all ages, their expressions ranging from curious to slightly bewildered. Ratte's warm, expressive linework gives the ensemble a wonderfully lived-in quality, balancing humor and humanity in equal measure. A charming 2017 entry in this distinctly French bande dessinée series from Editions Paquet.
