Le 3e Œil #1

From Casterman's 2018 lineup comes this intriguing Franco-Belgian adventure, Le 3e Œil — "The Third Eye" — with its opening volume subtitled Le sommeil empoisonné ("The Poisoned Sleep"), by Didier Tronchet and Baron Brumaire. The cover draws you in immediately: two young protagonists huddle together in a shadowy room, pressing toward a luminous doorway while looming around them in darkness are the silhouettes of wild animals — a zebra, a bear, a hyena, and more — alongside the menacing outlines of adult figures closing in. It's a beautifully unsettling image that promises mystery, danger, and the particular kind of courage only young heroes seem to find.
