# Jo-Jo Comics #28 (1948) This issue contains two stories: "Congo King," in which Jo-Jo faces a python, a vengeful ghost woman named Sally Benson who he killed, and a lion in a pit before escaping to safety; and a second story featuring Jo-Jo recovering from a poison wound with the help of White Medicine Man, after which he battles an "evil maiden" and an ape-like creature, ultimately capturing the criminals with police assistance. A third sequence depicts a nighttime adventure involving Inspector Looie investigating the theft of a mummy, with the story hinting at further complications when the mummy apparently escapes from its casket.
