Magic is in the air — and clearly out of control — in this opening volume of Image Comics' Inkblot, created by Emma Kubert and Rusty Gladd. The cover sets the tone perfectly: a wide-eyed sorceress recoils in alarm as swirling magical energy erupts around her, while a small black cat with glowing green eyes sits serenely at the center of the chaos, utterly unbothered. It's a wonderfully charming setup — one overwhelmed spellcaster, one impossibly composed feline, and a whole lot of mystical trouble between them.
