Written by Frank Strom and illustrated by Ronn Sutton, with inks by Bruce Patterson and letters by Susan Dorne, this 1999 issue blends gothic charm with supernatural showdowns, all wrapped in a cover by Ronn Sutton.

Elvira comes to the home of the Organa Sisters (Alliswell, Pheebes, Grue) to examine their spell-casting "Book of Shades". Using a discarded page, Fekless and Hannah Lee accidentally summon up the demon Heckronimus. A battle of conjuring takes place in the basement between Heckronimus and the Organa sisters, with Elvira caught in the middle. The entire home explodes and the Book of Shades is saved by the DeFate Sisters.
