Part of Zwerchfell's Die Nachtjäger series, this 2000 German-language album presents a wonderfully wry garden-party scene on its cover, where a boisterous older gentleman in a red jacket holds a ladle aloft over a punch bowl while a crowd of guests mingles around him — the exchange "Keine böse Absicht." / "Sondern?" / "Schlechte Erziehung." setting a perfectly dry comic tone before you've even opened a page. Andreas Dierßen brings an observational, slice-of-life sensibility to the proceedings, with the ivy-draped evening setting and clusters of well-dressed partygoers suggesting something between social comedy and nocturnal intrigue.
