Part of Le Lombard's De Werelden van Thorgal spin-off series, this 2018 installment puts the fierce Kriss van Valnor front and center — cover artist Grzegorz Rosiński depicts her draped languidly across a vast mound of skulls, blood on her fingers and a defiant calm in her expression. The image sets a rich, ominous tone for "De opperrechter" (The Supreme Judge), with the sea of skulls hinting at a world where judgment carries a very permanent price.
