This anthology issue contains two stories: "Boy Meets Girl," in which a woman named Dottie reflects on her romance with Fred, recounting how she fell deeply in love with him during a country drive and romantic evening, but ultimately realizes she must encourage him to marry her so she can support his success; and "My Dearest Patient," in which a nurse devoted to her career must choose between her nursing duties and her love for a patient recovering from an automobile accident, ultimately deciding to leave her position so as not to compromise her professional ethics. The issue presents these tales of romantic conflict where women's personal desires clash with their sense of duty and propriety.
