Blink and You’ll Miss It #2

The second issue of BOOM! Studios' Blink and You'll Miss It delivers a cover that pulls you in from every angle — a young woman with a face mask reaches urgently toward a helmeted figure on what appears to be a rooftop or balcony, while behind them a vertiginous bird's-eye view of a suburban neighborhood spirals into chaos. Flanking the entire scene are grotesque, spindly creatures lurking at the edges of reality, their tendrils creeping inward as if the normal world is being slowly consumed. Keith Browning's linework gives the whole image a restless, claustrophobic energy that makes the ordinary suburb feel just as threatening as the monsters surrounding it.
