The Black Diamond, a U.S. Marshal, arrives in Junction to restore law and order against the criminal Jeff Hawkins and his gang, who have terrorized the lawless town. After confronting Hawkins at a saloon and discovering the criminal's connection to a local boy whose father was killed, the Black Diamond works to bring the murderers to justice. The issue also includes a "True Wild West Story" about the ruthless outlaw Nick Tebbets, killed in 1886, and another about Sheriff Bill Cranton's fearless efforts to bring law and order to a lawless California town during the 1850s gold rush.
