The fourth volume of Kurokawa's French edition of Azumanga Daioh continues the slice-of-life adventures of Chiyo, Osaka, Tomo, Yomi, Sakaki, and their classmates through their second year of high school. This installment collects the later chapters of the original manga, featuring the girls' summer vacation, cultural festival preparations, and the growing bond between Sakaki and the stray cat.
In "June Part-1," Sakaki is shaken after reading online about the death of an Iriomote wildcat—her old friend from the class trip—only to be ambushed by Kamineko, who’s gathered the stray cats into a gang. Just as things turn dire, a surprising ally steps in to help. Written by Kiyohiko Azuma and illustrated by Azuma with inks by the same, this 2004 issue from A.D. Vision features a cover by Kiyohiko Azuma and a team of artists including Jorge Alvarado, Shannon Rasberry, and others.
