At Least This Place Sells T-Shirts #[nn]
This FoxTrot collection by Bill Amend perfectly captures the strip's blend of family humor and nerdy charm right on its cover: two characters stand amid towering library shelves — one girl wearing a Emily Dickinson t-shirt, one baseball-cap-clad boy holding up a Henry David Thoreau t-shirt — with section signs for Fiction, History, Art, and more visible behind them. The scene manages to be both genuinely funny and oddly wholesome, celebrating literary figures in the most gloriously goofy way imaginable. If you've ever loved the Fox family's particular brand of wit, this 1996 collection from Andrews McMeel is a thoroughly satisfying addition to the shelf.
