Anno Dracula: 1895: Seven Days in Mayhem #[nn]
Kim Newman's alternate-Victorian world comes to vivid life in this 2017 Titan collection, with Paul McCaffrey's cover art setting an immediately compelling tone. Three women — a red-haired figure in a teal military coat and crimson scarf, a dark-haired companion in ornate dress, and a pale figure in somber black — stand their ground against the looming silhouette of a cloaked, clawed vampire that towers over them from the blood-red background. Neil Gaiman called it "compulsory reading… glorious," and McCaffrey's striking cover composition makes it easy to see why this series earns such enthusiasm.
