A la recherche du temps perdu #2
Stéphane Heuet's patient, meticulous adaptation of Marcel Proust's *À l'ombre des jeunes filles en fleurs* continues here with "Noms de pays : Le pays," the first of two volumes covering this section. The cover sets a mood of wistful longing: a young man in a boater hat and navy coat stands cane in hand at the edge of a seaside boardwalk, watching elegantly dressed promenaders stroll toward a steamer in the soft, lavender light of dusk, seabirds drifting overhead. It's a quietly beautiful image that captures the Belle Époque atmosphere Heuet brings to Proust's world with such delicate, unhurried linework.
