30 Days of Night: Red Snow #[nn]

Ben Templesmith's cover for this 2008 IDW volume is an immediately arresting piece of horror art — a massive, skull-faced vampire rendered entirely in scorching reds and blacks, its jagged, needle-like teeth filling the lower half of the image beneath what appears to be a military helmet. *30 Days of Night: Red Snow* carries the series' signature dread into what the title suggests is a brutal, wintry setting, and Templesmith's painted, almost visceral style makes even the cover feel like a threat.
