Moses himself was truly religious about the eating of victims, But it is right after this that you should re- collect what has. been before said, and for the sake of which these things also have been mentioned. For why, since you have revolted from us, do you not embrace the law of the Jews, and abide in what is enjoined by them’ Some one who sees acutely will perhaps say, Neither did the Jews sacrifice.
