# Catalog Description

This issue of Snappy magazine contains cocktail recipes submitted by "the boy friend," including variations on fizzes, martinis, and other prohibition-era drinks with humorous dosage instructions. The magazine features Eugene Speaks' story "Richie Tells the Truth," in which protagonist Richie Smith, a young man living on Park Avenue, must defend himself when his girlfriend Rosemarie grows suspicious after spotting him on the floor where his neighbor Gwynneth Kingston (a divorced woman) resides. Richie attempts various evasions before claiming he saw a Persian cat. The issue also includes comedy snippets and dialogue gags featuring film actors like Lon Chaney, Billie Dove, and Mildred Harris, as well as humorous captioned photographs depicting various social scenarios, several involving intoxication. Additional story content appears partially visible but incomplete in the OCR.
