# Iron Wrist: The Swordmaster

This serial by Col. Thomas Hoyer Monstery, subtitled "A Tale of Court and Camp," follows a mysterious young blonde adventurer newly arrived in St. Petersburg during the coronation of Czar Nicholas. Dressed in shabby Hungarian Hussar uniform and carrying only a walking stick, the impudent stranger bets on an illegal horse race and is whipped by a uniformed official. He pursues his attacker through the streets, defeats two police officers with headbutts, chases the man into a grand palace, and violently interrogates the doorkeeper. Racing through ornate halls and salons, the stranger pursues his quarry across locked doors and courtyards filled with hounds, only to be confronted by a general in dress uniform decorated with orders. The narrative emphasizes the protagonist's physical prowess, audacity, and mysterious background.
