Beadle's Half Dime Library, No. 934

· June 18, 1895

This issue of Beadle's Dime Novels (June 18, 1895) features "The Girl Sport Pard" by Edward L. Wheeler, author of the Deadwood Dick series. The serialized story follows two adventurers—Simon Peters (called Simon Pure) and Nancy Jane (Nobby Nancy), who dress in masculine attire—as they meet by chance on a trail converging near a gulch. Suspecting mutual danger, they form a partnership and travel together to Flush Flats, a mining camp dominated by banker-mayor Richard Rashton. At the Odeon saloon-theater, a singer named Star Sterling recognizes Nobby Nancy and demands to know the whereabouts of an unnamed man they both seek. The confrontation escalates into a tense standoff with drawn pistols before the hall manager ejects them. The story blends frontier action with mystery elements.
