# Content of Beadle and Adams Dime Novel #467

"The Twins of Prorat Find" by J. C. Cowdrick presents two installments. In "Disco Dan, the Daisy Dude," the fashionably dressed Dan Dale arrives at the mining town Domino Divide and enters The Den saloon. He encounters the brutal bully Red-eye Jim, a giant who controls the town. When Red-eye Jim threatens him and demands an apology, Dan responds with insult; Red-eye draws his pistol but Dan's loaded cane—with a weighted ball at its tip—strikes him between the eyes, felling him. The townspeople toast Dan, and miners pledge to support him against Red-eye's inevitable retaliation. The narrative establishes Dan's composed demeanor, hidden combat capability, and the citizens' growing desire to challenge Red-eye's tyranny. The story concerns the Western frontier genre with saloon-based action and masculinity contests.
