# The Argosy, March 13, 1920
This issue of the weekly pulp magazine Argosy contains four continuing serials, one novelette, and seven short stories. The featured serial The Trail Horde (Part I) by Charles Alden Seltzer depicts Kane Lawler, a substantial ranch owner, preparing to drive cattle to market following a regional round-up. Lawler discovers his foreman Blackburn has warned him of complications with the buyer, Gary Warden, and of Joe Hamlin's cattle rustling on Circle L property. The serial explores tensions over honoring agreements and Hamlin's relationship to Ruth, a woman Lawler has proposed to. Concurrent serials include Claimed (Part II) by Francis Stevens, The Big Boss in Bronze (Part III) by Holman Day, and Fixed by George (Part IV) by Edgar Franklin. Maxwell Smith contributes the novelette Whispering Rock. Short fiction pieces are by Charles Tenney Jackson, Bertram Lebhar, Courtney Ryley Cooper, Francis James, Samuel G. Camp, Albert Edward Ullman, and James Henry Thompson, covering various comic and dramatic scenarios.
