The featured serial The Trail Horde (Part I) by Charles Alden Seltzer depicts Kane Lawler, a substantial ranch owner, preparing to drive cattle to market following a regional round-up. Lawler discovers his foreman Blackburn has warned him of complications with the buyer, Gary Warden, and of Joe Hamlin's cattle rustling on Circle L property. The serial explores tensions over honoring agreements and Hamlin's relationship to Ruth, a woman Lawler has proposed to. Concurrent serials include Claimed (Part II) by Francis Stevens, The Big Boss in Bronze (Part III) by Holman Day, and Fixed by George (Part IV) by Edgar Franklin.
