Trelawney, a foundry owner's son drawn to seafaring adventure, harbors an unrequited love for Violette in French-occupied Santo Domingo. Other notable contents include Eric Howard's novelette "The War of Nesters' Draw," a western adventure; "Restless Gums" serial from the author of "Eyes West!"; and "Gold" by Kenneth Perkins, a serial set in 1849 San Francisco.
