# MURK
This issue of Argosy-Allstory Weekly (December 19, 1925) features four serialized stories and several short works. The lead serial, "Murk" by Charles Francis Coe (four parts), follows Mary Delt, a young woman working at a movie theater in a tenement district. When police raid her building and arrest her father and brother for their involvement in a fur store robbery, Mary seeks guidance from Sergeant Crinton, a sympathetic policeman. The narrative contrasts the harsh poverty and moral compromises of the street community with the law's mechanisms. Other continued serials include "The Mad Movie" by Fred MacIsaac (three parts) and "Unhearing Ears" by Arthur Preston Hankins (five parts, part three). Additional fiction includes novelettes and short stories by various authors, with titles suggesting diverse plots: "Her Hour of Reckoning" by Elizabeth York Miller, "Tangled Trails," "Josh Stebbins—Gunrunner," and others. The issue also contains poetry contributions.
