This weekly pulp magazine issue contains four serial stories in various stages: "Cold Steel" by George C. Shedd (Part I), "Green Spiders" by Alfred D. Pettibone (Part III), "Texas Fever" by Charles V. Barney (Part V), and "The Hammer" by John Frederick (concluding Part VI). Two complete novelettes appear: "Whose Hands?" by Edwina Levin and "First National Bank of Faro" by Faber Mundorf. Six short stories include "Mustered Out" by H. Bedford-Jones, "'Jehannum' Smith" by Gordon McCreaGh, "Jacques of the Thick Head" by William Merriam Rouse, "Back to the Moil" by Edward Walton, "The Miracle" by John D. Swain, and "The One Hundredth Beggar" by Edwin Justus Mayer. Additional stories are advertised for the following week's issue. The magazine also contains extensive classified advertising for employment, vocational training, land sales, and merchandise.
