# Amazing Stories, November 1927

The November 1927 issue features four science fiction stories. H. G. Wells's "A Story of the Stone Age" (page 726) covers prehistoric humanity. A. Hyatt Verrill contributes "The Astounding Discoveries of Doctor Mentiroso" (page 746), describing extraordinary scientific breakthroughs. Garret Smith's serial "Treasures of Tantalus" continues its second part (page 760), apparently involving dangerous quests. Francis Flagg's "The Machine Man of Ardathia" (page 798) depicts far-future human evolution—beings composed partly of mechanical apparatus, using powerful rays instead of hands, enclosed in glass-like structures.

The cover credits multiple science publications under editor Hugo Gernsback, including Science & Invention, Radio News, and others. Advertisements promote Randolph radio receivers and Coyne Electrical School training. An editorial preview promises Jules Verne's "Robur the Conqueror" and Wells's "The Country of the Blind" in forthcoming issues.
