This issue of Amazing Stories contains seven science fiction stories. "The Malignant Flower" by Anthos features a giant predatory flower that attacks the protagonist Sir William Armstrong with its tentacled appendages. Otis Adelbert Kline's "The Radio Ghost" involves spectral phenomena and radio technology. "The Tide Projectile Transportation Co." by Will H. Gray explores futuristic transit systems. "The Stone Cat" by Miles J. Breuer, M.D., and H.P. Lovecraft's "The Colour Out of Space"—an adaptation of his earlier tale involving an alien force—are also included. The issue serializes the second part of H.G. Wells's "The War of the Worlds." Charles G. Blandjord contributes "A Link to the Past." The editor Hugo Gernsback discusses "The Mystery of Time" and responds to reader correspondence about scientific accuracy in the fiction.
