This issue of Adventure contains eight complete stories and novelettes alongside a serialized five-part narrative. Leonard H. Naton's "A Sergeant of Cavalry" depicts a World War tale centered on a woman's desire to reach the front lines. Frank C. Robertson contributes "Lisbeth," a Western novelette about an aged, shrewd female protagonist. L. Patrick Greene's "—and of Gideon!" is an African adventure story involving an elephant.
