# Catalog Note
This June 10, 1925 issue of Adventure magazine contains four short works and one complete novel. The lead story, "Prisoners of War" by Talbot Mundy, is set in ancient Britain during Caesar's invasion (56 B.C.). It follows Tros, a Samothracian, commanding a captured Roman bireme with wounded British warriors as it navigates the English Channel in a storm. Having attempted to capture Caesar, Tros failed, suffering heavy casualties among the British gentlemen aboard while his father Perseus was tortured and killed. The novel explores Tros's determination for revenge against Caesar while bearing the shame of returning to Lunden without victory. Shorter works include Theodore Seixas Solomons' "The Invincible Tradition" (Arctic), Gordon MacCreagh's "Jungle Business" (South American adventure), Howard Ellis Davis' "The Killing of Tom McCray" (lumber country), and Hugh Pendexter's continued serial "Pards" set in 1862 Colorado. Additional content includes verse, a reader forum, and an informational advice bureau.
