Titled Americans: A list of American ladies who have married foreigners of rank. Annually revised

· 1890

This 1890 handbook documents American women who married titled foreigners. Beyond the preface and extensive contents pages listing 130+ women with their maiden names and present titles or married names—alongside their page numbers—the publication includes the "Royal Family" section (pages 129-155), a compilation of eligible European peers supposedly interested in American heiresses (pages 156-193), an account of "The Great Ball of 1890" (pages 194-252), and an essay by Chauncey M. Depew titled "Why English Noblemen Seek American Brides" (pages 253-258). The preface notes that approximately 10-12 American-born duchesses, nearly 20 princesses' wives, and numerous ambassadors' wives are among these titled Americans, with several having been married over 25 years and largely forgotten by the American public. Street & Smith published it quarterly at $1.00 annually.
