History of the Old Township of Dunstable

Fox's History of the Old Township of Dunstable, published posthumously in Nashua, New Hampshire in 1846. The volume—a substantial regional history divided into chapters covering indigenous settlement, colonial conflicts, ecclesiastical developments, and the French and Indian Wars—was completed after Fox's death in February 1846 by friends and colleagues. The biographical notice details Fox's education at Dartmouth (class of 1831), his legal practice, legislative service, and travels through the Mediterranean and West Indies, where he developed keen interests in slavery and its effects.
