Wham! Spécial

In the early 1980s, French publisher Arédit-Artima launched Wham! Spécial, an eight-issue series that reprinted classic DC superhero stories for a French-speaking audience. The title focused on the adventures of the Flash, Green Lantern, and other Justice League members, drawing from the Silver Age and early Bronze Age. While no single creator dominates the series, it served as a key entry point for European readers to experience the dynamic, larger-than-life heroics of the DC Universe during a period when American comics were still finding their international footing.
