About the series
In the late 2000s, French publisher Glénat released Ultra Heaven, a compact three-issue series by Japanese creator Keiichi Koike. Known for its dense, psychedelic artwork and surreal, drug-fueled narrative, the series follows a young man's journey through a vividly imagined, hallucinatory landscape. Koike's intricate, detailed linework and bold use of color make Ultra Heaven a visually striking and unconventional entry in the manga-inspired European comics scene of its era.
