Narvalo

In the mid-2000s, Dargaud published Narvalo, a two-issue French comic series that paired a classic nautical adventure with a whimsical, slightly absurdist sensibility. The series is most notable for being an early collaboration between writer Fabien Vehlmann and artist Bruno Gazzotti, both of whom would go on to greater prominence in European comics. Though brief, Narvalo offers a charming glimpse into the playful storytelling and expressive art that would define their later work.
