Mangetrouille

The three-issue series Mangetrouille (2011–2014) from Le Lombard is a compact, moody exploration of fear and superstition in a small French village. Created by writer and artist Stéphane Perger, the story follows a young boy whose encounter with a mysterious, fear-eating creature forces him to confront local legends and his own anxieties. Perger's expressive, slightly grotesque art style perfectly captures the unsettling atmosphere of a community haunted by its own folklore.
