About the series
In this two-issue French miniseries from Glénat, Le Juge sans Terre (2009–2010) follows a solitary, wandering judge who dispenses his own brutal form of justice in a lawless, post-apocalyptic landscape. Written and drawn by artist Mathieu Lauffray, the story is a stark, visually rich western-noir hybrid where the line between judge and executioner blurs. Though brief, the series stands out for Lauffray’s atmospheric, detailed artwork and its tight, grim exploration of morality in a world without rules.
