This French series from Casterman, launched in 2006 and ongoing, is a supernatural crime saga steeped in Japanese folklore. Writer and artist Éric Hérenguel crafts a tense tale of a yakuza clan whose power is tied to the mythical tengu, bird-like spirits of mountain and forest. Its four issues have earned a cult following for blending noir violence with eerie, traditional mythology.
